Nicole’s journey in linking movement with breath began when she was eight. She took her first gymnastics class and spent the next 10 years on gymnastics teams. This experience helped her develop an awareness of breath, alignment, and the physical body at a young age. Born and raised in Chicago, she graduated from Colorado State University and moved to Oregon in 2000 settling in Bend.
When she found yoga, it felt like coming home in both her body and spirit. Through her own practice, she has experienced yoga’s ability to heal grief, deepen consciousness, cultivate mind-body connection, and awaken true potential in the spirit of dharma. When her lifelong passion for travel merged with her love of yoga, it led her to pilgrimages in Nepal, Bali, and Thailand for a deeper immersion in the culture, sacred sites, and traditions of the East.
Nicole’s classes are a grounding blend of thoughtful sequences, mindful alignment, lovingly-crafted playlists, and elements inspired by the teachings of yoga. She is a RYT 500 with the Yoga Alliance® and a graduate of The Yoga Lab’s 200-Hour and 300-Hour Vinyasa and Hatha Teacher Trainings, which included time with Sianna Sherman, Christopher Hareesh Wallis, and Shantala. Currently, she is most inspired to continue her studies with Jason Crandell.
When she’s not practicing, teaching, or studying yoga…you will find her traveling, enjoying live music, hiking, paddleboarding, snowboarding, and being fur mama to a rescued Mexican street dog named Maya. She has lived in Bend since 2000 with her husband.
Nicole teaches All Levels Vinyasa on Mondays at 6:00PM, Tuesdays and Fridays at 12:00PM, and Thursdays at 4:30PM.
