Renee was introduced to yoga 20 years ago and within the past eight years, it has been an integral part of her life. Yoga has brought her joy, peace, self-love, balance, and strength. She feel healthier mentally and physically.
Renee graduated from the Namaspa Yoga 200 hour teacher training in 2012 and 300 hour teacher training with Ulla Lundgren/The Yoga Lab in January 2017. She completed the Off the Mat Into the World Yoga in Action Leadership workshop, which has given her greater purpose to her yoga teaching. She believes in being a life long learner, so she takes workshops on yoga asana and philosophy whenever she can to gain further knowledge of this ancient practice. She also teaches Laughter Yoga and attends week-end and week-long meditation retreats. Through her trainings, she has learned the necessary skills to help participants find ease in their body, so they can have ease in their minds, which helps generate loving-kindness and compassion within themselves and others.
Outside of yoga, Renee enjoys trail running, rock climbing with her husband, hiking with her dogs, and reading. She teaches Spanish at Ridgeview High School in Redmond and teaches aspects of yoga to her students whenever applicable (which is almost daily!). She is continually growing and discovering how yoga applies to every aspect of her life and for that she is grateful.
Renee teaches All Levels Vinyasa on Thursdays at 6:00PM.
