TARA MALA WHITE
Tara Mala White is a dedicated, devoted and ever-evolving student of Yoga. Her approach to teaching is therapeutic and insightful. Tara’s 30 years of experience as a gymnast, dancer, aerobics instructor and yoga teacher have influenced her in creating a practice that is explorative, inspiring and inviting.
With an instinctive gift for reading and adjusting bodies, her touch heals. Her ability to weave Ashtanga, Anusara and Iyengar traditions into a fluid and challenging yoga class is contagious. She enjoys tapping into the energy of a class and uniquely blending anatomy, alignment, rhythm and breathing into a mindful, eclectic and dynamic yoga practice.
She draws her inspiration from incredible teachers she has studied with across the globe, including; Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, John Friend, Paul Grilley, Sianna Sherman, Prem Carlisi, Desiree Rhumbaugh, Bhavani Maki and many others. Her recent GYROKINESIS® training has guided her to a deeper understanding of postural alignment, bhandas and pranayama.
Tara moved to Bend this summer with her family. She has been living and teaching in Kauai privately, with Pure Kauai and at Yoga Hanalei for the last twelve years.
She holds a BFA and is RYT 500 hour certified. It is with great excitement and joy that she joins The Yoga Lab and the Bend yoga community.
Tara teaches All Levels Vinyasa on Mondays at 6:00PM and Wednesdays at 12:00PM.
